About Bounce & Redirect
What Bounce & Redirect covers, who it is for, and what it deliberately leaves out.
Bounce & Redirect explains why email bounces and what actually fixes it. It is written for people who send newsletters or transactional mail (receipts, password resets, account notices) and are watching delivery get worse without a clear reason.
How the site is organised
Every guide is tied to one stop on the route a message takes: your app, your sending server, the DNS checks (SPF, DKIM and DMARC), the recipient’s server, and the inbox. A bounce is the route in reverse, so it has its own place too. The route map on the home page shows where each stop sits, and the bounce decoder reads a pasted status code and points to the guide that covers it.
What you will and will not find here
- Mechanisms, not folklore. What a reply code means, what each authentication check actually proves, and why reputation decides most outcomes.
- Standards where they help. RFC numbers are given when they settle an argument, not as decoration.
- No platform recommendations. We do not rank or recommend sending services and carry no affiliate links. The advice applies whichever platform you use.
- No invented case studies. Examples use
example.comaddresses and made-up but realistic values.
